I just got my nails done and the nail techs were lovely. A 2 star review is for the general establishment. The sign outside says a gel pedi and a regular mani costs $55 from Monday-Wednesday, so that’s what I expected to be charged. But then they charged me $60 and said that even though the sign says $55, they couldn’t charge me that because the owner wasn’t there. That doesn’t make sense to me. Then why have that sign out? Just erase it or atleast give the nail techs the autonomy to listen to the signs they put out. I won’t be coming back (I do appreciate the nail tech’s politeness though. Not the cleaning lady though who acted as if she was the owner herself and I was wrong about the sign).
I have been a loyal customer for years & I was noticed the high turn over rate but I always trusted that they hire experienced nail techs but that was not the case. I paid $80 for my nails & the result was not $80 worth. I wanted almond shape and the shape was crooked. And yes I asked the nail tech to shape it better, two times actually, but she just simply did not know how to. She also did not clean around the nail edges to have clean margins & the flower design I asked for was not like the photo. She simply was not experienced enough to do a good job, she was very kind and she did her best but $80 is too expensive for nail work that is at best $45-50 worth. Sadly I will not be returning but make sure to ask for the prices every step of the way because what started as a $45 estimate cost me $80. My recommendation is to ask for the only good nail tech that is left which is Nora.
